If you long for stillness, relaxation, serenity and that inner space that is like a night sky, but just can't find it all no matter how long or how often you sit cross-legged and observe your breath, then try Active Meditation .
Active meditation simply means engaging the body actively with mindful movement. This can sometimes be very dynamic, but be careful.
The body becomes an instrument: Roughly speaking, a period of intense activity such as jogging, dancing, shaking, jumping or the like, and then a few minutes of silence. The movement activates the body and the sympathetic nervous system, which can only then occur as a compensation, i.e. as a result, of deep relaxation. That is, first everything is brought to the boil, then it can relax.
This is possible because the inner restlessness, tension and fidgetiness that has built up through our hectic everyday life can be reduced through dynamic but careful movement.
In addition, these specific Active Meditations, as we offer them, work on a level that lies beyond the cognitive mind. This allows inner blockages to be released that we are not even aware of. The result is not just greater serenity. Over time, these active meditations can also be used to resolve stubborn patterns that have had an unwelcome impact on our lives.
